1 cup buttermilk
1 package instant vanilla pudding
9 ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 package Fudge Stripe cookies
½ cup chopped maraschino cherries, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Reserve 5 or 6 of the cookies, and coarsely chop the remainder. Set aside. Mix buttermilk and pudding mix until well blended. Add Cool Whip, pineapple, and optional cherries if desired.

In a 9x13 pan, sprinkle approximately ½ of the cookie crumbs. Add the remaining half of the crumbs to the pudding mixture, and gently turn into pan. Spread evenly. Finely crush the reserved 5-6 cookies and sprinkle on top. Let sit 6 hours or overnight.
