1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups hot water
4 tbsp cornstarch
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:

Place egg yolks in a small bowl and set aside. In a heavy saucepan, combine cornstarch and sugar. Stir in water and salt and boil until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks and then stir back into pan. Add lemon juice and cook until thickened. Pour into BAKED pie crust, top with meringue and bake until browned.

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp Cream of Tarter
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:

Combine egg white and cream of tarter in a small bowl. Beat until soft peaks form. Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and beat till stiff.
