1/3 cup flour OR 1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks
3 Tbsp margarine or buttter
1/2 tsp vanilla
Baked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:

Combine cornstarch or flour, brown sugar and salt in a heavy saucepan. Add egg yolks and slightly combine. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie crust.
 

Meringue


Ingredients:

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp Cream of Tarter
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:

Combine egg white and cream of tarter in a small bowl. Beat until soft peaks form. Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and beat till stiff.

Spread meringue over hot filling making sure to reach the crust.

Bake at 350 until lightly browned.
