1 cup grits
3 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 Tbls garlic powder
1 stick butter (sliced)
½ lb sharp cheddar cheese (cubed or shredded)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir grits into boiling, salted water, Return to boil, then reduce heat to low.
Add cheese and butter slices. Stir until melted and blended. Add garlic powder
Add eggs and milk, stir/ mix thoroughly.
Pour into a greased casserole.

Cook covered at 375º for 45-50 minutes.
Uncover and place under broiler until top browns. (watch carefully!)

Can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated overnight before baking and browning.
