Cheese Cloud (Breakfast or Brunch Casserole) Recipe

12 slices of day-old white bread
pound Cheddar cheese - sliced
4 eggs
2 cups milk
tsp prepared yellow mustard
1 Tbls grated onion
tsp salt
1 tsp seasoned salt
Dash of cayenne pepper and black pepper

Trim crusts from bread.
Arrange 6 slices of bread in bottom of a 12 x 8 x 2 greased baking dish.
Cover with cheese slices and then with remaining bread slices.
Beat eggs, add milk, mustard, onion and seasonings.
Pour over casserole and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Serve immediately.

* This dish may be prepared the day before and refrigerated overnight if needed.
Yields 6 servings - but no seconds.
