1 cup sifted cake flour
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 3/4 cup egg whites
2 tsp cream of tarter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350.
Sift sugar, add 1/2 cup to sifted flour, and sift 3 mote times. Beat egg whites until frothy, add salt and cream of tarter. Continue beating until eggs are just stiff enough to hold their shape. Add remaining sugar gradually. After sugar is thoroughly mixed, add vanilla. Continue beating for 2 minutes. Fold in flour mixture with a large spoon. Continue folding for 2 minutes. Pour into an angel food cake pan. Cut through with a knife to take out any air pockets. Bake for 30 minutes. Take out of oven and turn upside down on a bottle. Let cool before removing from the pan.
