"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
On a cold Fall day at their first acreage, John and Helmut were busy looking after the horses while Eva and I were in the kitchen trying out the above recipe and serving it to our favorite guinea pigs (Helmut & John) who always gave us their opinion on new recipes. Needless to say we tweaked it. We should have been on Food Network. It became and still is our favorite meal and when I make it, I always think of the great time Eva and I spent in the kitchen Such soulful memories.
