2 cups flour
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
½ tsp. cloves
½ tsp. nutmeg
1 cup yogurt, plain
½ cup vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. molasses
1 egg
1½ cups pears, unpeeled and diced
½ cup raisins
½ cup nuts

Preheat oven to 400°. Grease 12 muffin cups. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices. In a medium bowl, combine yogurt, oil, molasses, and egg. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until just blended. Add pears, raisins and nuts. Fill prepared muffin cups ¾ full. Bake 20 minutes until golden brown. Makes 12 large muffins.
