Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lbs. lean ground beef

3 Tbsp steak sauce (ie-A1 or Crosse & Blackwell)
3 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

8 hamburger buns

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, carefully mix meat, steak sauce, eggs, salt & pepper with a fork, but do not mash the mixture. (Do not overwork the meat as it will make your burger tough,) Lightly form hamburger patties and press lightly into shape. I make eight 6 oz. patties with this mixture.

Preheat your barbecue to medium-high.
Cook the hamburgers for 4 minutes on one side, turn, and cook for 3 minutes on the other side for medium-rare.
Remove to a plate and cover with aluminum foil. Allow the hamburgers to rest for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, grill the buns, cut side down, for 1 minute, until toasted.

Place the hamburger on the bun and serve.

Personal Notes:

This is a "Burger a la Barefoot Contessa"...I have, however, greatly adjusted it to my taste and have also shaved a lot of the fat and calories from her recipe.
My version is just as tasty as I believe the secret here is the steak sauce. It makes the burger very beefy tasting.
