1 lbs. hamburger
2 cups cubed potatoes
3 med. carrots, diced
2 tbs. parsley
3/4 cup diced celery
1 tsp. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. salt
Sprinkle pepper
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 med. onions chopped
2 tbs. green onions
1 large bay leaf
1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
6 cups water
1/4 cup raw rice

Brown hamburger first and drain grease
add rest of ingredients in a large kettle and simmer for several hours

When I used to make this for the kids when they were little Angie would get so mad at me because I would buy big chocolate doughnuts for anyone who would eat their soup. It wasn't her favorite soup.
