¾ cup butter
1½ cups sugar
1½ cups mashed bananas (3 medium)
2 well-beaten eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
¾ tsp salt
½ cup buttermilk
¾ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
Grease and flour a 9 x x 5 x 3 loaf pan

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly
Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
Add to banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Add nuts and mix in.
Pour into loaf pan and bake for 1¼ hours, or until done.
