1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup salted cashew halves
1 t. butter
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and syrup in a 1 1/2 qt. glass container. Stir to blend. Microwave uncovered 4 minutes - stirring after 2 minutes. Stir in nuts. Microwave 3 - 5 minutes until mixture is light brown. Stir in butter and vanilla, blending well. Microwave 1-2 minutes longer. Syrup will be very hot and the nuts heated. Add baking soda, stirring until foamy (about 1 minute). Turn mixture onto a buttered baking sheet. Let stand 30 minutes to an hour. Break into bite size pieces and store in an airtight container. Makes about 1 pound.
