1 package yellow cake mix + ingredients
6 cups cold milk3 packages instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp apple pie spice
1- 12 1/4 ounce jar caramel topping
1 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans
2 cans- 21 ounces each- apple pie filling
2- 16 ounce cartons whipped topping, thawed

Mix and bake cake as directed in two 9" round pans. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
In a large bowl, whisk milk, pudding mixes and apple pie spices for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes to soft set. Cut 1 cake layer to fit 8 quart punch bowl. Punch holes in cake with a long skewer. Pout 1/3 of caramel over cake. Then pour 1/2 the pecans, 1/2 pudding mixture, and 1 can apple pie filling. Top with 1 carton whipped toping. Top with another layer of cake and additional layers. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle top with pecans.
