3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 - 2 cups flour
1 tablespoon anise seed or oil

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks, mix, and beat some more. Add sugar and beat for 10 minutes. Fold in flour. Add anise oil or seed. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Let stand overnight.

Bake for 10 minutes.

This recipe is a very old German recipe that Mark's grandmother brought over from Germany. It has been in the family for a very long time. It is time to share!

*You can substitute other flavorings if you don't care for anise.
