1 ˝ Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Butter (real thing)
˝ Cup Milk
1/2 teaspoon Soda (dissolved in milk)
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Vanilla (pure extract)
2 teaspoons Lemon (pure extract)
2 ˝ teaspoons Baking Powder
5 Cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F.

2. Add Soda to Milk & let stand.

3. Cream together Sugar, Eggs & Butter.

4. Add Milk w/Soda, Salt, Vanilla & Lemon to creamed mixture. Mix well.

5. Add Flour & Baking Powder.

6. Roll out, Cut into shapes & place on ungreased cookie sheets.

7. Bake at 350°F. for 10 minutes or until edges of cookies are very lightly golden brown. Cool 2 to 5 minutes on cookie sheets. Remove cookies from cookie sheets. Cool 15 minutes or until completely cooled.

8. Frost and decorate cookies.
