Pecan Halves (24)
Large Pitted Dates (24)
Fresh Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese (2 oz.)
Prosciutto, sliced (4 oz.)
Freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 350º
Place the pecan halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until the pecans are lightly toasted and very fragrant
Cool
Raise the oven temperature to 425º
Make a slit along the top of each date
Cut the parmesan cheese into thin slivers
Stuff each pecan half and a sliver of cheese into each of the dates
Quarter prosciutto slices lengthwise into strips
Wrap each date with a strip of the proscuitto
Place the dates on a baking sheet and bake for 6 minutes or until the prosciutto is crisp and the parmesan softens
Transfer dates to a plate and finish them with a grinding of fresh black pepper
Serve hot, warm or at room temp
