½ c. shortening
½ c. peanut butter
½ c. granulated sugar
½ c. brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1 ¼ c. all-purpose flour
½ tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375º

Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars, and egg thoroughly. Blend all dry ingredients together in separate bowl then stir into shortening mixture.

Roll dough into 1 ¼ inch balls with your hands and place 3" apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.and flatten crisscross style wit fork dipped i flour.

Bake about 8 minutes
