1 lb ground beef
1 lb sausage meat, spicy or sage
1 lb Velveeta© Cheese
1 pkg party rye
Worcestershire Sauce© (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Brown ground beef and sausage in frying pan. Stir and break apart as it cooks. Drain grease from meats. Return meat to frying pan. Add cubed Velveeta to frying pan and if using Worcestershire add now as well (to taste). Cook over medium heat until cheese melts. Mix well with the meats.

Place rye bread slices on cookie sheet, top each with a tablespoon of the meat mixture. Bake 5 to 10 minutes or until warmed through.

Notes: These freeze well. Once assembled, cover pan with foil and place in freezer. Once they are frozen, they can be placed in ziploc bags and returned to freezer. Cook frozen, additional cooking time will be needed.

A Christmas Eve favorite! Uncle Gary named these. The first time MomMom made them he asked what they were. MomMom told him and he said they look like "dog-do"...and that is what we have always called them.
