Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
John's Flaming Hearth was a well known restaurant on Military Rd. in Niagara Falls. Popular in the 70's, 80's, it was known for it's fantastic steaks and upscale atmosphere. People would sometimes just stop in for dessert; having a piece of this famous pie and coffee. It's close proximity to Niagara Falls, attracted people from all over the world. One famous visitor was Liberace, who with his entourage, stopped by after performing at Melody Fair in North Tonawanda. It was a favorite spot for some of my Canadian relatives as well, especially my Dad's brother, Uncle Rich, who my parents would meet there from time to time. For some families, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without this dessert. This recipe was featured in a 1990 edition of The Buffalo Evening News.
