Chocolate Dump Cake |
|
Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 3 cups flour 2 cups sugar ⅓ cup cocoa (if chocolate**) 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 eggs ¾ cup canola oil 2 cups water 1 Tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon vanilla
|
|
Directions: |
Directions:In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together well. Pour into two 9-inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25- 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once the cake has cooled, frost one cake with your desired frosting. (See recipe for Orange Frosting and Chocolate Frosting) Set second cake on top of first frosted layer and frost the top and sides.
**This recipe makes a delicious orange cake. To make it orange, omit the cocoa and add the zest of one orange. Or, go crazy and make it chocolate orange!
Also, if you want a four layer cake, cut each cake in half horizontally after they have cooled. |
