1 c. white sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 T. vinegar
1 T. baking soda
1 pound chocolate coating

Butter 9 X 13 inch pan.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and vinegar. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Heat without stirring to 300 to 310 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat, and stir in baking soda. Pour into greased pan, do not spread. Allow to cool.

In the microwave, melt the chocolate, stirring frequently until smooth. Break cooled candy into bite sized pieces and dip into chocolate. Let set on waxed paper/ Store tightly covered.

One day before Christmas Lisa and I were talking about our favorite candy from childhood. Lisa mentioned "Fairy Candy". I had no clue what it was until she described it to me. I found the recipe and made her a batch of it for Christmas. It tasted just like we both remembered. This one's for you Ce Ce!!
