12 oz. can diced tomatoes
12 oz. can chili beans
12 oz. can tomato sauce
one small onion, chopped
1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 t. chili powder
2 t. ground cumin
1/2 t. garlic powder

***Grandma used kidney beans instead of chili beans.
***I like to add a small can of corn, drained to the pot.

Cook onion and ground beef until no longer pink. Drain grease. Put in medium saucepan. Add rest of ingredients. Cook over a medium heat, stirring frequently. Serve with grilled cheese or homemade cornbread.

Grandma used tomato juice instead of the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. She also used red kidney beans. Our spices are the same so it still tastes just like grandma's!
