6 cups peeled or unpeeled Granny Smith Apples
3 cups sugar (or less if desired)
1/2 cup Jack Daniels or Coca Cola (or less if desired)
1/2 cup butter sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º.
Place the apples in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the sugar over the apples.
Sprinkle the Jack Daniels over the apples.
Dot with the butter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and the sauce is bubbly.

The Oven Baked Apple recipe is my favorite because it is easier to just put in the oven while you are doing other thinks in the kitchen. The Skillet Baked Apples tend to stick if you do not watch them carefully. However, the Skillet Baked Apples is the version served at Miss Bobo's Restaurant.
