1/2 cup butter room temperature
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup applesauce (thick)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º
Dissolve soda into applesauce
Cream butter,sugar and egg together and add applesauce
Sift together salt,flour cinnamon and cloves.
Add gradually to creamed mixture. Mixture will be thick.
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.

Note: 1 cup floured raisins and 1 cup chopped nuts may be added tothe batter.
