Bean Salad


Ingredients:

1 can lima beans
1 can waxed beans
1 can chickpeas
1 C diced celery
1 small can of pimento, cut up
1 can green beans
1 can kidney beans
1 green pepper,sliced
1 large onion, sliced
syrup recipe

Directions:

1. Drain off all liquids.
2. Put all in a large dish with a cover.
3. Pour the syrup over the vegetables, cover and let stand for 24 hours.
 

Syrup for Bean Salad

1 1/2 C white vinegar
1/2 tsp celery seed
2 C sugar
1/2 C water
1 T salt

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Let cool before pouring over vegetables.
