Directions:1:1 ratio of tomatoes to Jalpeno - subtract one tomato (keep the tomato for a more mild salsa)
Boil all tomatoes and jalapeņos till the skin is blanched..
Add half the tomatoes and jalapeņos to a blender with a dash of caldo de pollo (spice). Liquefy.
Put Wildtree Roasted Garlic Grapeseed oil in a pot (enough to cover the bottom)
Add in a little more than half of a small container of chopped onions And two handfuls of garlic cloves chopped up. Stir around and let everything simmer down for about 5 minutes!
Pour the tomato blend into the pot and stir
Put the rest of the tomatoes and jalapeņos into the blender with a dash of caldo de pollo. Pulse the blender a few times. This batch should be a bit more chunky than the last!
Pour mixture into the pot.
Add a Tbsp of caldo de pollo to the pot. Squeeze a lime into the salsa.
Let simmer for about 30 minutes.
For a more spicy salsa add more jalapeņos...
Enjoy! Serve warm or cold!
Gets even better if you have time to let it sit overnight! |
