1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 cup embellishes*

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.

*Embellish with chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter or mint chips, nuts, M&M's, Smarties, almonds and white chocolate, or whatever you have in the house.

Bake at 350°F for 8-9 minutes. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute then move to a cooling rack.
