Sweet Spice Blend:
2 Tbsp Light brown sugar
2 Tbsp Cinnamon
4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom


3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. Sweet Spice Blend
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white
1 Tbsp. water
1 lb. pecan halves

Directions:

Combine Sugar, 1 Tbsp. Sweet Spice Blend, in medium bowl. Set aside
Beat egg white and 1 Tbsp. water in a bedium bowl using a handheld beater or wire whisk until foamy. (no liquid should remain).
Add pecans, stirring until evenly coated
Add pecans to sugar mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
Place pecans in a single layer on a buttered 15x10 inch cookie sheet
Bake at 275 degrees for 50-55 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread immediately in a single layer on wax paper; cool completely. Store in airtight container.


Other uses for Sweet Spice Blend:
Honey-Spice butter: 1/2 cup butter, softened, 2 Tbsp honey, 3/4 tsp Sweet Spice Blend. Stir together until smooth
