4 c flour
1 c sugar
3 eggs
2 sticks butter, softened
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
can fig filling

Frosting
1 1/4 c powdered sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
5-6 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream butter and flour. Add sugar and baking powder, stir. Add eggs and vanilla, stir. Divide dough in half. On a floured board roll one half of dough out to rectangle (roughly a 1/4 inch thick). Spread with fig filling. Roll length wise into log. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with the other half of dough. Bake until lightly brown. Let cool on cookie sheet.

Frosting
Combine frosting ingredients. Spread on cookie "log". Let harden and slice cookies into bars.

I always looked forward to these on Christmas Eve. She often decorated them with red and green jimmies for Christmas and rainbow ones for birthday parties.
