Ingredients: 2 cups mild cheddar (shredded) 2 cups Colby Jack blend (shredded) 1 cup medium cheddar (shredded) 2 cups velvet ( or small box) 1 box elbow macaroni or noodle of choice 4 eggs 3 cups whole milk 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 stick butter Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:This recipe can be made the traditional way below or in a crock pot as a great potluck dish everyone loves! 13x 9 pan at least 3-4 inches deep Preheat oven to 350 degrees. spray pan with nonstick spray or butter
Boil noodles as per directions on box until just undercooked. Rinse quickly, shake drain and seet aside
Mix eggs, cream, salt and pepper whisk until well blended Pour 1/2 of milk mixture in bottom of pan. Add a layer of noodles, then salt and pepper. Mix shredded cheeses in bowl. Top noodles with these- stir into noodles. Repeat layers If using box velvet- place slices over noodles
When you get to top add the last of the cheese Pour on the remaining milk mixture over the noodles and cheese- poke holes down through mixture so that milk will settle Melt butter and pou over mixture Cover tightly with for Bake in oven 45 minutes Remove foil and cook an additional 5-10 minutes until golden Let stand for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. Always even better the next day. |
