Ingredients:  
1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
¾ cup chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips or nothing

Directions:
Directions:
Sift and mix flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside
Beat shortening until creamy, add sugar gradually, beat until fluffy. Add eggs and chocolate and beat well
Stir in milk, vanilla and nuts. Add dry ingredients, mix well.
Chill for 1 hour.
Drop rounded tsps on greased baking sheet
Bake @ 350º for 12-15 minutes
Cool on rack and frost (see buttercream frosting recipe) and add sprinkles for perfection
