⅓ c butter
1⅓ c sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
1 c pumpkin purée
1 tbsp molasses
1⅔ c flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp ginger
⅓ tsp buttermilk
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ c chopped nuts (optional)
½ c raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add pumpkin, molasses, and buttermilk. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Add vanilla. Add nuts and raisins if using. Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350ºF for 1hr 15min.
