2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
5 tbl. cocoa
Dash of salt
1 cup Miracle Whip (or mayonnaise)
1 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together three times the baking soda, flour, sugar, cocoa and salt. Add the Miracle Whip (or mayonnaise) and water, mixing all ingredients well. Pour into 9 X 13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let complete cool then frost with the chocolate icing of your choice.

The Miracle Whip (or mayonnaise) in this recipe is a substitute for eggs, but it also makes the cake very moist. This was a favorite of your dad's at one time.
