3 cups sugar
¾ cup margarine or butter
⅔ cup evaporated milk
12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
7 oz. jar of marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (walnut or pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 9 X 13-inch pan. Mix sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Bring mixture to a full boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and thoroughly combined. Beat in marshmallow creme, nuts, and vanilla extract. Transfer fudge to the prepared pan and let cool before cutting into squares.

I am really not sure if this recipe originated with my mother (Fanna) or my grandmother (Zada). There was a time they both made fudge from scratch, the old-fashioned way. But once Kraft came up with this recipe using their Marshmallow Creme, it became the "go to" fudge recipe in our family - partly because it was easier, but also for its creamy taste and texture.
