1 cup butter
2 cup sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
2 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chopped pecans
2 oz melted baking chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and beat well. Add sifted flour, salt and nuts. Divide batter in half. Blend chocolate into 1/2 of mixture. Make 2 layers in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 min

When cool, frost with following:
5 tab flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Blend flour and milk in 2qt saucepan. Cook over low heat until thick paste is formed. Cool. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla in small bowl. Add other mixture and beat at high speed for 5 min.

Another treat that mom would make for us. I am not sure where mom got this recipe from but I have also made it so many times. Mom, Kathy and I are in the picture.
