1 tablespoon sugar

1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup margarine

1/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 425°
Mix 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in margarine and blend in Milk. Press mixture into a 10 by 10" pan.

3 cups rhubarb

1-1/2 cups sugar

5 tablespoons heaping flour

3 egg yolks beaten

Combine rhubarb, sugar,flour, and beaten yolks. Put this over crust and bake 30 minutes at 425. Take pan from oven and cool a little.
 

Meringue

3 egg whites

6 tablespoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until they form a peak when the the beater is lifted. Add sugar and continue beating until they form a peak.
Cover entire torte with meringue return to oven and let brown.
