Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 quart-sized Ziploc freezer bag
1 cup whole milk or half & half
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla

1 gallon-sized Ziploc freezer bag
3 cups crushed ice or ice cubes
3 tablespoons salt

This makes enough for one person.

Directions:
Directions:
Pour milk, sugar, and vanilla into quart Ziploc bag. Remove as much air as possible when closing the bag.

Pour ice and salt in gallon Ziploc bag.

Place sealed quart size Ziploc into the ice-filled gallon size Ziploc and close top, removing as much air as possilble.

Shake bag continuously for 8-10 minutes.

To make this a group activity, a size 10 can with lid can be used in place of the gallon-sized Ziploc and smaller can with lid for the quart-sized Ziploc. The recipe would be quadrupled and poured into the smaller can. Ensure the smaller can fits inside the size 10 can with about 1/2"- 3/4" space. Then put the group in a circle and roll the cans for about 15-20 minutes or until mixture is frozen.

Personal Notes:
This fun activity began as a cub scout activity, then evolved into a Family Home Evening activity.
