Ingredients:
Ingredients:
One cup light brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
1 cup Cherry Dr. Pepper
½ tsp. onion salt (can use 1 chopped onion; our son Brian does not like onion so that's why I use the salt)
¼ tsp. black pepper
1 beef brisket (4 - 5 lbs.)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º.
Trim fat from meat. Place brisket in roasting pan.
Combine brown sugar, ketchup, Cherry Dr. Pepper, onion salt, and pepper in a medium bowl, mixing until well blended. Pour over meat. Cover tightly with foil.
Roast for approximately 3 hours or until meat is tender; brushing occasionally with sauce mixture.
Remove meat to a platter. Pour remaining sauce into medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce thickens. You can slice and serve with sauce.
I let it cool and then shred and place in crockpot. Place some of the sauce over it and keep warm until ready to serve. Serve on buns or small Hawaiian rolls.
