Tomato Juice-
Beef Stew Meat 1lbs
olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Corn - 1 can
Green Beans - 1can
Carrots - 1 can
medium onion
peas (optional) 1- can
lima beans (optional) 1- can
2 cubed potatoes
1 can crushed tomatoes

1 box vegetable stock or beef stock

1 medium to large stock pot

Directions:
Directions:
Make sure all beef stew meat is similar in size.
Trim in excessive fat. Leave some fat for flavor.
add the 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan, turn on the medium high heat (8 or 7 on knob)
Dice your onion in medium cubes and start them cooking with the oil.
Once onions start softening add the stew meat to brown it stirring it around to brown the edges.
Add the vegetable or beef stock to the meat & onion mixture.
Let it cook for approx 20 - 30 minutes on medium heat.
Add any raw vegetables if you are not using canned as raw vegetables take longer to cook.

Once the meat is starting to get softer, add the canned vegetables. Drain the liquid off of them it is high in salt. Let the pot simmer on about medium low heat. (4-5 on the stove knob).
After it simmers for about 30-45 minutes it should be ready.
Taste and see what salt/seasoning needs to be added if any.

good to service with grilled cheese!
