-1 lemon
-1/4 cup sugar if apples are tart
-1 1/2 lbs or a 3 pound bag makes 2-- granny smith apples
-1 tbsp. flour
-lots of cinnamon
-1 pie crust

-chedder cheese optional of you would like to put on top (put on last 10 minutes of cooking)

Bake 450º

- Grate 1 tsp. of lemon peel

- Toss 2 tsp. of lemon juice with apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon peel

- Roll crust to a 13" circle. Put apples on crust leaving a 2 inch border. Fold border over apples making a --edge.

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper

Bake for 15 minute at 450º reduce to 425º bake for 15 more minutes or until apples soft and crust light brown. If want to add cheddar cheese add last 10 minutes.
