1 lbs. hamburger meat
1 can diced tomatoes
2 small cans tomato sauce
1 C. chopped green pepper
1/2 C. chopped onion
1/2 C. uncooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
Season salt, garlic powder and pepper to taste
1/2 lb. Velvetta cheese, sliced

Directions:
Brown the ground meat in a large skillet; add onion, peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice and seasonings. cover and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Take cover off and top with sliced cheese. Put cover back on until cheese melts. Serve with crackers.
