½ cup shortening or margarine
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add peanut butter and cream well. Add sugar slowly and cream well. Add brown sugar and cream well. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. To the peanut butter mix, add flour mixture and milk. Mix well.

With floured hands, form mixture into small balls and place on cookie sheets. Use a fork to slightly flatten each ball. Bake at 350º for approximately 6 minutes or until cookies start to lightly brown.
