3 cups fresh strawberries
¾ cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup sugar
1 cup milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 stick butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a medium bowl, add strawberries and 3/4 cup sugar. Stir to coat and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Add milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
Stir until combined. A few lumps are OK.
Pour batter into a greased 9 inch baking dish.
Spoon strawberries evenly on the top of the batter. DO NOT STIR.
Bake for 35 to 40 mins, or until golden brown.

Great served warm or cold.
