2 - Cups of Flour
1 - Teaspoon of Baking Powder
½ - Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 - Teaspoon of Salt
1/2 - Cup of Shortening
1- Cup of Sugar
1 - Cup of Mashed Banana
2 - Eggs

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl
2. In a separate bowl, cream the shortening and gradually add the sugar
3. Blend 2-eggs into the cream mixture (1-egg at a time)
4. Add the mashed bananas into the mixture and mix well
5. Blend in the dry ingredients into the cream mixture
6. Pour mixture into a greased bread pan and sprinkle the top with sugar
7. Optional ½ c. chopped nuts
7. Bake for 60 - 70 minutes at 350º
