1/2 lbs pork (chicken or leftover meats)
1 pkg noodles - 500 grams
100 grams (1/2 cup) salad shrimp
6 cabbage leaves - coarsely cut
5 stalks celery - coarsely cut
2 stalks of leeks - coarsely cut
1 large onion and 2 garlic pieces - finely chopped
salt, pepper, 1 chicken bouillon cube
2 tbsp ketjap* (Indonesian soy sauce)
Cooking oil, vestin

Additional vegetables: bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, snowpeas

Directions:

Boil the noodles per instructions on package.
Heat oil, saute onion and garlic, add meat until brown. Mix in the vegetables.
Then add the ketjap*, a little water and bouillon cube.
We add the cooked noodles to the mixture, mixing it well, add shrimp last.
Finish off with salt, pepper and vesin.

Serve on large platter and garnish with strips of egg omelet and fried onions.


*Ketjap can be substituted for regular soy sauce

"Mie" means noodles in Chinese and "Bah" is pork, "Goreng" means fried in Bahasa.
