Salt the possum heavy overnight, put on early in the morning, boil 2 hours, put 1 teaspoon soda.
Then remove and place in other boiling water until tender. Remove and paste with flour, pour 1/2 teacup of pepper sauce over possum. Sprinkle with sage and black pepper.
Slice 3 large sweet potatoes drop them in 2nd pot of water and boil until done. Remove and lay beside the possum in the pan and bake until brown.
