Stew meat /soup bone
onion
celery
garlic
flour
water
salt and pepper
can tomatoes
a little sugar
corn
green or yellow beans
lima beans
carrots (fresh)
potatoes
cabbage
any other vegetable you like
(I remember she might add frozen peas or even zucchini ).

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion, celeery and garlic. Flour meat and brown. Add to onion mixture. Cover with water. Add salt and pepper. Boil for about 1 hour. Add tomatoeswith a little sugar. Continue to boil for additional 1/2 hour. Add vegetables. Bring to a boil and simmer for couple of hours. Can also be done in the crockpot. If you like it more tomatoeyyou can add a small can of tomato sauce.

While we kids loved this soup. mom only made it when dad had to go out of town on business becasue he REALLY didn't like it,. He would get out peanut butter and jelly whenever she made it. I still love it.
