1 head iceburg lettuce,shredded into pieces
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced green pepper
1 large grated carrot
1 small pkg. frozen peas.(not cooked or thawed)
2 cups Hellman's mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. grated cheddar cheddar or mozzarella cheese
8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions:

In large glass bowl layer ingredients in order, starting with the lettuce and ending with the frozen peas. Mix together mayo and sugar. Spoon over top of vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight (8-24 hours). Don't stir or season anymore. To serve; Use SPoon to dig all the way to bottom to get all ingredients. Delicious!

Another summertime favorite but generally only made when we were having"company" or guests for a meal. For some reason the c ombination and layering of the ingredients imparts a fantastic blending of flavors and it tastes so good.
