1 T. butter
1 T. flour
¼ tsp. salt
1½ cups milk
Dash pepper

MEDIUM:
2 T. butter
2 T. Flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup milk
Dash pepper

THICK:
3 T. butter
4 T. flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup milk
Dash pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
2. Blend in flour, salt, and dash pepper.
3. Add milk all at once (whisk), Cook quickly, stirring constantly till mixture thickens and bubbles.

I use this recipe for everything! It's a great base for sauces, creamed vegetables, gravys and so on. This is a good one that I use so much!
