-1/2 cup shortening
-1 cup brown sugar
-1 egg
-1 cup flour
-3/4 tsp. salt
-1/4 tsp. baking powder
-1/2 tsp. baking soda
-2 Tbsp. Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together, add egg and beat well.
Add flour and dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Drop from tsp. onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 325 for 10 minutes
Remove from cookie sheet almost immediately or will shatter when removed.

I have never seen these outside of our own home. They are thin, crispy outside, and chewy inside.
